Small, reliable software for aviation people.

I've spent eight years on the floor: a parts counter, aircraft factories, a simulator bay. A lot of the work there still runs on spreadsheets, binders and PDFs. I build small apps that do one of those jobs well, for the people who actually do them.

  • A&P and avionics techs
  • Sim engineers and techs
  • Flight schools
  • Repair stations
  • Part 135 operators

01 How I build

Built by someone who's worked the floor.

A few promises I can keep, because they're the same ones I'd want as a tech.

A · ONE JOB, DONE WELL

Small on purpose

Each app does one thing you'd otherwise do by hand, fast enough to use with a part in your other hand. No suites, no dashboards you didn't ask for.

B · WORKS IN A HANGAR

Offline first, no account if it can help it

Hangars and sim bays have bad signal. Where it's possible, the work happens on the device and your data stays there.

C · SHOWS ITS SOURCES

Reference data says where it came from

When an app tells you what a label or a limit means, it tells you which document that came from, so you can check it.

D · HONEST ABOUT LIMITS

A tool, not approved data

These are reference and productivity tools. They don't replace the manufacturer's manuals or your approved procedures, and they say so.

pocket429ARINC 429 decoder and word builder for avionics technicians

Decode and build data words (BNR, BCD, ISO-5 text, parity, bit-order detection) against a label database compiled from cited manuals. Point it at an analyzer screen and it reads the words off the photo, on the device.

  • Works offline
  • On-device OCR
  • Cited label database
  • No account

03 What's next

Tell me what's annoying.

The next app should fix a real problem, not one I imagined. If part of your day is copying numbers between screens, chasing paperwork or decoding something by hand, I'd like to hear about it.

  1. You tell me about the workflow. Two sentences is plenty.
  2. I read every answer and reply when I have questions.
  3. If you want, I'll email you when something ships. Nothing else.
